We are excited to announce that a new, fully integrated resident “Monitoring System’ will be coming to Kenton very soon! Tenera Care is a cutting-edge technology that will allow us to visually and graphically monitor our resident’s movements and vital signs. Their platform provides reliable, modern, real-time technology to senior care facilities to monitor and analyze the health patterns and activities of residents and staff.

This enhancement allows for quicker response times when a resident may require extra assistance. This system ensures that our residents can freely and safely explore their environment. Personal badges, along with pull cords in washrooms and lounges, provide the resident and staff member a means to signal that assistance is required. Through analytics, we have the ability to run reports and evaluate how and where a person spends time during the day. We can refine an individual’s care plan based on the data to include their preferred activities and programs.

Doorways within the residence are auto-closing and in line with fire code regulations. Passages through the various areas of the home are overseen by computer-controlled mag locks installed on doors. Programmable key fobs and swipe cards provide selective access for staff, families and visitors to main exits and stairwells, maintaining the residents’ freedom to walk and explore throughout the interior of the home.

Design features within the residence, such as floor-specific colour schemes and fixtures made clearly distinguishable from each other, have all been utilized for the person living with Alzheimer’s and dementia in mind.
